Graduated in law at Faculdades Candido Mendes, Rio de Janeiro, in the year of 2000, and post-graduated by FGV in Economics and Corporate Law two years later, as a lawyer and real estate broker Gustavo Rocha Coelho also studied interior design at Clube dos Decoradores do Rio de Janeiro in 2010. After working at a big corporate law firm, Miguez de Mello Advocacia in Rio de Janeiro and later as an attorney for one of the largest Brazilian airlines, Varig, he founded Izzy Rent Imobiliária Ltda, one of the pioneers and innovating real estate agencies in short term rentals in Rio de Janeiro, servicing between 2002 to 2016.

 

As an interior designer and property renovation manager, his project "Mude & Alugue" (Change & Rent) helped many property owners to increase the rental values of their properties by implementing small improvements at a minimum cost possible. Today, Gustavo uses all his experience in the several above mentioned fields to help clients purchase and sell their properties in Rio de Janeiro and surrounding areas. This current complete service was developed in order to fill two gaps that exist in the real estate market in Brazil: One is that in practice real estate agents and agencies work for the seller only. And two, a massive number of Brazilian real estate brokers lack knowledge about real estate legal and regulatory aspects.

First, Gustavo helps his clients making the correct decision at the right time. For this, one or more meetings are held in order to understand the client's real expectations and possibilities, in order to determine what actions and choices are to be made. 

 

An appraisal of the properties, whether purchasing or selling, includes analysing the property's and the HOA's financial and structural conditions, as well as the documentation, avoiding late surprises.  A strategy and schedule of each step is set up for a better planning. 

 

Safe purchases of real estate opportunities, such as units with pending documentation and/or structural issues, is also one of Gustavo's expertise. For this, a thorough analysis is made, many times of which counting on partnerships with experts, such as engineers, architects, paralegals, and several other professionals.

 

Gustavo's experience as an interior designer and renovation manager allows suggestions to the clients project, enhancing  the rental and sale of real estate, always aiming at the lowest cost and the greatest possible visual impact. 

 

Tailored partnerships are developed and signed between Gustavo and his clients, in order to match the wishes and possibilities of each one of them.  Brazilian and foreigner investors have counted on the services of Gustavo, possible due to his fluency in English, Spanish and Portuguese languages, aside his expertise, as above mentioned.
